Inga Bremer was born near Frankfurt/Main in Germany. After various visits to foreign countries, Inga started drama school in Cologne, but moved on from there in the year 2004 to join the Film Academy in Baden-Wuerttemberg to become a director. When she returned from her year abroad at the international film academy EICTV in Cuba, Inga started shooting the film “Perfect Girls”. The film was co-produced by the German TV Channel SWR, Jolle Film and funded by the MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg. The documentary was presented at various Filmfestivals worldwide and won the ‘Golden Panda Award’ at Sichuan TV Festival in China. For her Film “Goodbye Kutti” Inga got nominated for the German Human Rights Film Award in 2010. Inga is one of four founders of the film production company Soilfilms. Together with her partners she produces and directs commercials, documentaries and fiction films.
Her recent project “Franco’s Legacy – Spain’s Stolen Children” won the Treatment Award of BR and Global Screen in 2014 and attended the IDFA Academy in 2015. It is produced by Soilfilms, the TV broadcasters BR and ARTE.
